Karachi: September 2022: Race car driver Enaam Ahmed bagged 3rd place on the podium and won the team championship at the Indy Pro 2000, making his mark and solidifying his position as a maverick in global motorsports. The sportsman won 3rd place in his race last weekend, concluding the championship’s final round. Enaam Ahmed’s first full season of racing in the United States came to a successful conclusion last Saturday, 3rd September 2022 in Portland Oregon.
The opening race in Portland on Friday saw Enaam finish third, his fifth podium finish of the season. Another top-five finish was accomplished in race two which also took place on Friday as he crossed the finish line in fourth. In the post-race interview, he explained his approach to the season finale. “It was a good race for me. I started fifth and ended on the podium.”
In the final race of the season, Enaam started from row three which eventually led him to a very respectable and well-earned third place in the championship.
Looking back Enaam elaborated, “racing in America is a unique challenge. The racing variety is like no other. Apart from great purpose-built tracks like Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Road America in Wisconsin, we had to race on street circuits in St. Petersburg, Florida, Toronto Canada, and on oval tracks.”
Proudly conveying his love for his country, Enaam races under the Pakistani flag, representing his nation throughout the Indy Pro championship.“I am very proud to represent and raise the flag of Pakistan all across the American racing landscape. The plan for next season is to move up the racing ladder and compete in Indy Lights. My goal is to be the first Pakistani driver to win the biggest race in the world, the Indianapolis 500.”
Apart from commendable performance on the three-race weekend, he also led a motorsports media exposure and awareness to help flood victims in Pakistan. The racer recently posted clips and images on his social media to raise awareness and show his support for all Pakistanis impacted by the floods. Enaam is currently raising funds for the victims affected as well. “I would like to thank the Juncos team and everyone that is supporting me back in Pakistan. I know they are suffering a lot right now, and I will be with you guys soon – straight after the race,” voiced the racer.
