Pakistan’s woman cricketer Sana Mir has just become the most successful spinner according to recent ranking changes. She is currently playing against South Africa. She secured this position during the last ODI match against South Africa when she dismissed Sune Luus.
The ODI ended up with a thrilling tie thanks to the efforts of Sana Mir and a couple of other great knocks by her team.
Sana now has 147 ODI wickets and has appeared in 118 matches of One Day Internationals. With this latest wicket of hers, she has left behind Anisa Mohammad of the West Indies and Australia’s Lisa Sthalekar (both spinners). She is now ranked the third most successful bowler on the all-time list of most successful bowlers behind Jhulan Goswami (India) and Cathryn Fitzpatrick (Australia) who are both fats bowlers.
Thanks to the thrilling tie, the Pakistani women’s cricket team is now on the fifth spot in the ICC Women’s Championship rankings with 15 points, just one more from New Zealand’s 14 points standing.
Sana’s place in the rankings will change when the new rankings are released today.
