Earlier today, unconfirmed reports of Shane Watson coming to Pakistan to play PSL matches surfaced. There was a lot of speculation because there was no official source confirming that he was indeed coming to Pakistan.
Unverified sources claimed that the owner of Quetta Gladiators was finally able to convince Watson to come and play in Pakistan. The player has been part of the PSL since the very beginning but had refused to visit Pakistan citing personal reasons.
Just now, the cricketing superstar made an official announcement that he is indeed coming to Pakistan. In his tweet and Instagram post, he said that it was 14 years since he came to Pakistan and that he couldn’t wait to come to a country with the most passionate cricket fans in the world.
It’s been 14 years since I last visited Pakistan, a place with some of the most passionate fans in world cricket. Can’t wait to give it our best shot in bringing home the trophy with.
