Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the Agdam Mosque in Nagorno-Karabakh after winning the war with Armenia, where the Azaan resounds after 27 years.
The sound of the call to prayer echoing from the historic mosque is also an announcement of the victory of Qarabagh. The scene which world saw on this occasion was heartbreaking. Ilham Aliyev could not control his emotions and his eyes got wet. He kissed the wall of the mosque and laid his hands on the Holy Quran and expressed his determination to protect the mosque.
According to President Ilham Aliyev, he prayed to God Almighty in the Ka’bah to “give him the strength to liberate his land from the clutches of the usurpers and I am thankful to Allah Almighty. ”
