Fawad Alam, the Pakistani left-handed batsman made a guest appearance on Pakistan Television Home’s drama ‘Ghar Damad’ just recently. The batsman who has 996 runs to his name in 38 One Day Internationals with one century and six half-centuries has had a rocky career.
Alam is credited with being one of the top 50 batsmen in the world with the highest batting average. He is the only Pakistani in the list. Currently, he stands at a rank of 26 and in 2016 he was among the top 12 batsmen of all time in the first-class history.
Yet, Alam can nowhere be seen on the National cricket team of Pakistan and this has greatly angered Pakistani cricket fans who criticize PCB and the selection committee for not giving him a chance to play in ODI or Test anymore.
