Earlier this morning, it was revealed through local media that FBR has initiated an income tax audit of the internationally renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the year 2016.
According to news channels, the singer has received a show-cause notice by Federal Board of Revenue in which they have demanded all records for the year 2016. The FBR has issued another notice to the singer over not paying the taxes.
Moreover, he has been given only seven days to submit tax details. This is not the first time that the singer has been dragged into such case. In 2017, FBR had recovered Rs 105000, after freezing his all bank accounts.
However, more details have not been revealed yet but the news is already doing all rounds around the globe.
