When Pakistani billionaire Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the eldest daughter of former President Asif Ali Zardari, tied the knot last night, important personalities from across the country congratulated her on the beginning of her new life.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari was married to 33-year-old Mahmood Chaudhry, a Dubai-born industrialist of Pakistani origin, at Bilawal House and the marriage was solemnized by Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Sahu, a scholar from Thatta.
Bakhtawar Bhutto’s father and brother Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his close relatives also attended the marriage ceremony.
After the marriage, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while sharing the photos of his sister’s marriage, also wrote an emotional message that when a happy day came today in his family after many years, he felt as if his mother was watching him.
Although no statement is given by both families regarding the amount of dowry and gifts given to him by the groom Mahmood Chaudhry.
However, according to sources close to the PPP, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari was given only 132 Tola of silver in Haq-e-Mehr.
Despite the marriage of the daughter of a billionaire family to a billionaire family, public is being pleasantly surprised to find only 132 silver tola was given in Haq Mehr.
The total value of silver received by Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari in Haq-e-Mahr is now up to Rs. 200,000.
On the other hand, according to sources, a wedding ceremony of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari will be held at Bilawal House today, which will be attended by close family members and special PPP leaders.
The wedding is expected to take place in the evening. Following the ceremony at Bilawal House, a wedding ceremony is likely to be held in Larkana next week, followed by another in Lahore and another in Islamabad.
After attending weddings in Pakistan, the couple is likely to leave for Dubai, where they will arrange a wedding for their foreign guests.
