The Valima event on Friday night marked the end of the wedding celebrations that had lasted for the better part of a week, which included singing along to wedding songs, dressing to the nines, and decorating to the nines. As mentioned, the event took place outside Lahore at Jati Umra’s home.
The festivities included musical evenings and qawwali nights, a traditional Mayoun and Mehendi ceremony, a lavish wedding reception, and a bittersweet end with a Valima. This wedding was likely the biggest of the season. There was never a lack of sparkly attire or glitzy event décor, including chandeliers and floral carnations.
In August of this year, the couple exchanged vows in a lavish London Nikkah. Although they’re in the country to celebrate their wedding, the couple hasn’t left the country yet.
Pakistan’s political and entertainment elites showed up in force to celebrate Junaid and Ayesha’s wedding. Shehbaz Sharif, the PML-president, was also in attendance at the wedding. Other party members, such as spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb and MPA Azma Bukhari, were also attending the royal event.

Throughout the festivities surrounding Junaid’s nuptials, he kept things simple. He wore an ivory shalwar kameez with a waistcoat and leather shoes to most of his events. The groom chose a Faraz Manan outfit to contrast his previous attire. Despite Junaid’s traditional dress sense, Manan stayed true to his minimal style and made him a taupe sherwani with gold buttons. Junaid was as handsome as ever, despite his understated attire.
However, the bride Ayesha Saif eschewed the traditional hues in favor of a mint-green outfit paired with a tea-pink dupatta. A Karachi-based fashion house called Menahel and Mehreen created her ornate ensemble, which featured a lot of embellishment. She paired delicate diamond jewelry with Anam Farooq Khan’s soft, natural makeup.

There’s no way to focus on anyone else at a wedding where everyone is dressed to the nines, allowing their outfits to outshine the lavish affair. The costumes worn by the bride’s mother, Maryam Nawaz, received much praise from the internet.
PMLN-N Vice President Mariam Nawaz heavily embellished Prussian blue angarkha was another fashion statement she made last night. She accessorized with a gold necklace adorned with gemstones and diamonds, and her soft, subtle party makeup enhanced her already gorgeous appearance even further. Sehrish, a makeup artist, posted a selfie to Instagram of herself “dolling Maryam up.” She did an excellent job.
